Some Lies

There's no way to put pain down in words, words can be beautiful or painful, but they can never be beauty or pain. Talking is lying, for words can never say any truth, but create whatever they say, what does that tell us about a god who is fond of writing books? What does that tell us about an animal that even thinks in words? We are the animals that can't live without being superficial, fake and meaningless. We search for meaning to the life, but what does that even mean? Meaning is supposed to be a truth behind that which symbolizes it. How can life have a meaning when life is itself the truth and not a symbol? Perhaps language was meant to be only a tool to go on living, to warn each other, to fake love when necessary, in short, to survive.

I never tired of saying how fake and illusory the world we believe we live in is, but no one seems to be shocked enough. People go on living as if nothing had happened, and never start to doubt their most basic beliefs which are most obviously false. But Nietzsche had it right, without false beliefs, mankind cannot live.

How can I attempt to say anything at all worth saying when anything worth saying cannot be said? I will try to remain silent for a while, may be some truth will be heard!!

  1. After an extremely long discourse on the nature of reality, a Zen master concluded with these words: "I have nothing to say, I have said nothing." Which, it seems, is the same conclusion you've come to here.

  2. Hi, I just came across your blog and I wanted to say that your writings struck a chord with me, as I tend to reflect a lot on the same sort of things in my blog, i guess. Your post on a meaningless world based on illusions is something i can see for myself far too clearly, as well as the weakness of words.. Anyway, just wanted to say I really like your thoughts :)
